ROOF REPAIRS

A large proportion of our call-outs involve fixing poor roof repairs.

Finding the exact cause of the leak is important and doing the repairs properly is crucial. Nonstandard repairs such as the use of waterproofing materials or excessive use of sealant on metal roofs can often make the problem worse or create a new problem. Sealants have their place, but the average roof repair man or handyman will tend to go overboard.

It is important to get someone who knows what they are doing. At Country 2 City Metal Roofing we pride ourselves on getting it right the first time to save our customers extra cost and hassle in the long term.

METAL ROOFING

Country 2 City Metal Roofing take pride in ensuring that you have the best possible roof for your home and that the finished product looks good, adds value and most importantly is watertight for years to come. Our roofs are built to last!

Colorbond is strong, secure and energy smart. With 22 colours in the range you can choose a colour that sets the theme for your whole home or you can mix and match colours with your gutter, fascia and downpipes.

Colorbond steel roofing, walling, gutters and downpipes are compliant for use in bush fire zones.

FASCIA AND GUTTERS

Gutters need to be in good condition to prevent them from overflowing during heavy downpours.

Broken or rusty gutters can lead to flooding in your home so it is imperative to check the condition of your guttering regularly, particularly leading up to storm season. Regular manual clearing of the gutters or the use of gutter guard materials is essential, especially if they are prone to nearby leaf matter.

The most common issue with gutters is that they either have holes in them through general exposure to the weather or their shape has been compromised leading to gaps in their fit with the rest of the roof.

The roof fascia board, or roof fascia, is essentially the supportive structure that will bear the weight of your metal roof gutters. The fascia is the long horizontal bars mounted to support the gutters. Often referred to as the roofline, roof fascia’s take the brunt of the weight of your roof gutters. In a heavy downpour, a considerable amount of water (even several litres per second,)

can wash down your downpipes, so it is important to have a sturdy support system to protect your home from flooding or structural failure.

Made from quality COLORBOND®; and ZINCALUME®; steel, metal fascia is straight, won’t shrink or warp and will last a lifetime. Metal fascia is used as both fascia and barge and is mounted on adjustable pressed steel brackets using a very simple fixing method.

SKY LIGHTS

We can source and install many types of skylights that will suit your natural lighting need.

WALL CLADDING

Metal wall cladding can be a beautiful alternative to brick or fibre cement sheeting. It can add a sleek modern look to any home, increasing the street appeal. It is durable, clean and comes in a multitude of colours, profiles and sizes. The range of metal wall cladding is endless.

Wall cladding is a specialised aspect of roof plumbing and not all roof plumbers are experienced in the installation of wall cladding. It takes a special tradesman to achieve a professional finish, particularly for the cladding around windows, doorways and stairs with difficult angles.

Metal wall cladding is an art form not suited to all tradespeople, it requires patience and excellent attention to detail. Please see our gallery to view some of our work

FASCIA COVER

Fascia cover can be used to disguise unsightly timber fascia to give you home a fresh new look.

LEAF GUARD

We only recommend the use of Blue Mountain leaf guard. Blue Mountain’s product is designed to prevent leaves and debris from entering gutters and downpipes.

Particularly suited to situations where a building has native trees, such as eucalypts, nearby that drop not just leaves but also nuts. The aperture of Blue Mountain leaf guard assists in minimising the entry of leaves and gum nuts into a buildings gutters.

The mesh fits from the outside edge of the gutter across the gutter section and then is attached to the roof surface. This creates a platform that suspends leaves and debris above the roof gutter, allowing the majority of material build-up to be blown away by wind action.

The non-combustible aluminium leaf guard minimises gutter maintenance and improves the quality of rain water collected for tanks.
